Horticulture Shows
Celebrating Over 30 Years on the UK Flower Show Circuit
Since 1986, Cook’s Garden Centre has proudly showcased its horticultural expertise at the country’s most prestigious flower shows. From Malvern and BBC Gardeners’ World Live to RHS Tatton Park, Cardiff, Chelsea, and Hampton Court, our award-winning displays have earned us national recognition and a host of RHS Gold Medals. Behind every show is the same passion and dedication we bring to our garden centre in Stourport-on-Severn.

A Longstanding Commitment to the Shows
Our journey began with an appearance at the very first Malvern Spring Gardening Show in 1986, followed by exhibiting at the inaugural BBC Gardeners' World Live at the NEC, as well as RHS Tatton Park and RHS Cardiff. As our reputation grew, so did our schedule, all while continuing to run and grow our garden centre back home.
Balancing both our on-site work and national appearances requires careful planning, but our team takes great pride in maintaining high-quality displays wherever we go.
Award-Winning Expertise
Over the past three decades, we’ve received countless RHS medals, including several prestigious Gold Medals. In 2017, we achieved an incredible four Gold Medals for our Hydrangea displays, along with a featured interview with Carol Klein on BBC Gardeners’ World.
And in 2018, we celebrated our proudest moment to date, our first Gold Medal at the Chelsea Flower Show and a feature on BBC Hampton Court. A true highlight for our team and a milestone in our nursery’s history.

Our Speciality: From Hanging Baskets to Hydrangeas
In the early days, hanging baskets and patio plants were our specialty and we remain one of only two UK nurseries to ever receive an RHS Gold Medal for hanging baskets. As interest in patio plants expanded, we adapted, choosing to focus our expertise on the development of this area while continuing to supply hanging baskets to our local customers.
Today, we’re known for our exclusive range of Hydrangeas, developed in partnership with top European growers. These are modern, compact varieties, specially selected for pots and containers, far from the traditional 1970s-style mopheads. Our standout variety, Hydrangea Fireworks, remains a customer favourite and star performer at shows year after year.
